It's Here! The Website Has Launched

It’s about time

It’s only been three months of work, but we are finally at launch day!

At launch, weirdstuffinthebible.com has 5 articles:

  • Who Hardened Pharaoh’s Heart?

  • Why Did God Hate Esau?

  • Why Does Jude Quote from the Book of Enoch?

  • Did God limit man’s lifespan to 120 years?

  • Can I Cast Lots to Determine God’s Will?

With many more to be added in the weeks ahead!

In the meantime, I will work on refining the site’s SEO tags. These are key word phrases that you type into the code of the site to make it more findable on Google and other search engines.

SEO is “where it’s at” in web design. Who cares how much work you put into creating a site if nobody can find it? So that’s the next goal, but I should have at least one or two more articles to release by the end of the month.

Other pages of the site include a page about the podcast, featuring the latest episode at the top; an “about” page that gives the basic tenets of the Christian faith and what we believe, as well as some info about me; a contact page that gives you an option to send in any questions or comments about the site.

And since you all are going to be the first to see the site, please feel free to use that form (or send me an email: [email protected]) to let me know if you spot a mistake- a misspelling, a broken link, or anything you think I should know. You can help me iron those things out.

In Case You Missed It: Last Wednesday’s Episode

This past Wednesday, the latest episode revisited the idea of Binding and Loosing. This wasn’t a re-run, but kind of a follow-up to an episode from last fall about prayers of Binding and Loosing.

I won’t have a new episode this Wednesday (May 7), just an alert that the website is live.

And since there won’t be a new episode, I won’t plan on a newsletter next weekend either.

But don’t worry, I have many more episodes, articles and newsletters planned for the weeks ahead!

One more thing…

I actually bought TWO domain names as I was configuring the site. One is what I’ve already told you: WeirdStuffInTheBible.com. The other one is kind of unique and trendy, although I’m not sure if it’s just ultimately too confusing: WeirdStuffInThe.Bible

It puts a period before Bible and drops the “.com”

Kind of like Life.Church … there is actually a .bible available for domain names and I purchased one for Weird Stuff, although it just redirects to WeirdStuffInTheBible.com for right now.

So my question is, for the future, which domain do you think I should use to market the site? I’ll include a poll at this link, if you’d like to let me know what you think:

Alright, everybody have a blessed and restful Sunday, and I hope you enjoy the site!
